With red at the core of Winter colouring, combined with the ultramarine blue that cools and darkens these palettes, the colours that define Winter are red-violet to purple. For Bright Winter, the colour is pure purple, compared to Dark Winter's mulberry and True Winter's bluer, darker purple. 

A very beautiful colour can be created by blending Imperfect with Coastal from the Bright Winter collection. The result is an iridescent blue-violet with a complex colour play similar to an underwater shimmer. Blending the colours together gives a more lifelike and yet magical effect than the brighter, stronger effect of each colour on its own, with the blended colour being highly customizable by altering the proportions. The softer, blended effect may be perfect for larger areas, such as an entire lid, while the single colour may serve as a focal point of colour, similar to a coloured rhinestone, or as a striking contrast with iced pink, silver, or charcoal from the eyeshadow palette.
